In this context, we consider process models to imply both flowsheet models and first-principles models (balance equations and constitutive equations). The workshop is meant to improve awareness of the respective requirements of academia and industry and to facilitate new graduates' effective transition into industry and research. A... The goal of this workshop is to discuss the different ways process modelling is taught in universities and how this aligns with the needs of industry. In this context, we consider process models to imply both flowsheet models and first-principles models (balance equations and constitutive equations). The workshop is meant to improve awareness of the respective requirements of academia and industry and to facilitate new graduates' effective transition into industry and research. A variety of universities and companies will present their perspectives in this 1-day workshop to be held on Tuesday, March 26th, in London, UK at University College London. The workshop is a collaborative production of PSE, UCL and the IChemE.
