20140211 HyET B.V. - Mr. Leonard Raymakers – Electro-chemical Hydrogen Purification

HyET develops and produces electrochemical membranes for the compression and purification of hydrogen. The principle consists of the split of H2 to H+ at the anode side of the membrane with subsequent association to H2 again on the cathode side of the membrane. The driving force is the electrons current that moves the protons from the anode to the cathode side. Applications are still pilot scale automotive and biogas. The membranes are strong and stable.

HyET membrane compressors feature silence, compact, no lubrication, no water, low power consumption and one-step pressurization up to 800-1.000 bar. This makes possible fueling cars, fork-lifts, trucks and distributed as well as central green energy storage by on-site electrolysis hydrogen generation.

The same process allows for separating hydrogen from gas mixtures to recover H2 from gasification of biomass or to purify H2. www.hyet.nl
