20140617 GreenTEG AG (CH)– Robin Born - “gSKIN sensors for controlling and optimizing thermal processes”

As a spin-off from the ETH Zürich (CH) greenTEG develops and manufactures heat flux sensors, very small non-invasive devices that are attached to the walls of thermal equipment, like reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers etc.

The temperature difference between wall and reference side of the greenTEG sensor generates a voltage proportional to the heat flux. As the sensor is cheap, placing a number of sensors on thermal equipment makes surface and bulk temperature profiling relatively easy and also makes possible measuring reaction energy, evaporation energy and to follow deicing.

The sensor signal may serve as input for heat control. www.greenTEG.com/products/gskin-heat-flux-sensor
