20160621 Rotterdam University - Mr. Bob Lammers - Breezbox: air filtration by magnetic cooling

As part of their PTTP training at ISPT, Rotterdam University students Bob Lammers and Sharon Wijk developed a new concept of air cleaning. Cooling air with permanent magnets results in a vacuum and condensation. The vacuum sucks in fouled air passing a filter to remove dust and bacteria. After a while the removed energy is returned to the air which increases pressure and the clean air is expelled via an outlet valve.

The process is suitable for instance for homes, air planes, labs, hospitals, ships, cars, ICT stations and animal husbandry. Investments are somewhat higher, but well compensated by the low power cost compared with normal HVAC. www.ispt.eu
